About Honeybee Holistic Health

Meet Rachel Zipeto

FNP-C & Founder

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved medicine. I dreamt of becoming a nurse just like my mother and caring for others. I dreamt of opening my own clinic and healing others naturally as a Nurse Practitioner. My mother knew of my love for nursing and at the age of 5, she took me to visit one of her very sick patients in the ICU. My mother told me it might be scary. She took me into the room and without hesitation, I reached through all the tubes and monitors, looked into the patient’s eyes and held her hand. I went on to achieve my nursing dream in 2007, completed the Emergency Nurse Internship Program, and spent the next 15 years in the Emergency Room as a Registered Nurse. During that time, I cared for infants through adulthood at some of their most life altering moments. I became dedicated to building myself up in pediatric skills and techniques to make the Emergency Room a little less scary and more family friendly for children and to ease the pain of procedures, such as catheters and lab draws. I later went on to fully achieve my lifelong dream by obtaining my Master’s in Science and becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

From there I went on to practice as a provider in a pediatric practice and I loved every moment of the practice, but longed for more time to be able to spend with my patients. I decided that I wanted a straightforward practice that allowed me to do just that called Direct Primary Care. I fell in love and wanted to go back to the days where doctors made house calls and mothers with new infants could stay in their nest while they bonded with their newborn. I am passionate about a holistic, integrative approach to medicine that focuses on natural healing combined with modern medicine. That is why I chose the honeybee for my business, which is known for its natural healing properties. I hope to serve those in my community as their Holistic Family Primary Care Provider.

Honeybee Holistic Health strongly believes in a holistic, organic, and integrative model of care where the patient is the center of all decisions. Our approach is to empower each one of our patients to heal themselves and to make informed, autonomous decisions in their plan of care. This is approached by integrating modern medicine with well-studied homeopathic treatment options when appropriate.

Honeybee Holistic Health Provides Direct Primary Care

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model of care where the patient pays an upfront monthly membership fee for high-quality and low-cost primary care. This means no surprise fees or being billed differently for sick visits versus wellness visits. This model is accessible to all. The focus of Direct Primary Care is ongoing wellness and prevention to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations or costly visits to the ER for primary care services.

Personalized, Comprehensive Care

DPC physicians typically have smaller patient loads which allows them to provide more personalized and comprehensive care. Patients can enjoy longer appointments, unhurried consultations, and enhanced access to their primary care physician.

Affordability and Transparency

We charge a flat monthly, providing patients with transparent and predictable healthcare costs. This fee covers a wide range of primary care services, reducing out-of-pocket expenses and eliminating the complexities of traditional insurance billing.

Enhanced Access and Convenience

Patients benefit from increased access to their primary care physician through extended office hours, same-day or next-day appointments, and virtual consultations. This accessibility leads to improved health outcomes and greater patient satisfaction.

A Focus Preventive Care and Wellness

DPC emphasizes preventive care, health education, and wellness initiatives. Physicians have more time to focus on patient education, lifestyle counseling, and proactive health management, leading to better long-term health outcomes for patients.

Reduced Administrative Burden

By eliminating the insurance billing and administrative tasks associated with traditional fee-for-service models, DPC physicians can dedicate more time and resources to patient care, resulting in a streamlined and patient-centric healthcare experience.

Questions?

For more information about Direct Primary Care, Our Services, or Our Providers, please contact us. We would love to help give you more clarity on how it all works and how we can help you reach your optimal health!

NOTE: Care through a DPC provider does not imply a patient should not carry insurance. Insurance should still be carried in-case of emergencies and hospitalizations. If you have Medicare, you are not eligible for our services at this time.
